A LITTLE CHAOS, SHARED

How it works

A public wall for dating disasters, awkward moments, and stories you couldn’t make up.

  1. Read the roomBrowse by category, filter by “Women” or “Men”, and switch between “Top” and “New”. Select “All” to reset the filters. On phones, swipe the filter row sideways.
  2. Add your storyTap “+ Add yours”, choose a category, and select “Woman” or “Man”. Keep it to 280 characters. No account or name needed. After posting, tap “View my story” to jump to it on the wall.
  3. Show some loveTap the heart to like a story. Tap it again to undo your like.
  4. Find your postsOpen “My posts” to see stories you posted from this browser. Tap “Find on wall” to jump to a story, then “Back to My posts” to return. Clearing browser data resets “My posts”; your published stories stay on the wall.
  5. Pass on the receiptsTap “Share”, then “Copy link”. When the button says “Link copied”, paste the link wherever you want to share it. Anyone with the link can open that story.

Keep it anonymous. Keep it kind.

No identifying details, email addresses, phone numbers, social handles, contact details, or links in posts. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or other harmful content.

Posts that break these rules will be removed when identified. Use the red flag on a story to report it.

YOUR STORIES, YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy

No sign-up or contact details required

We don’t ask for your name, email address, or phone number. We don’t access or collect the contacts stored on your device.

Keep personal details off the wall

Stories are public. Do not include identifying information, emails, phone numbers, social handles, other contact details, or links—yours or anyone else’s. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and other harmful content are not allowed. Posts that break these rules will be removed when identified.

What the site stores

We store posts, votes, reports, and notes you send. The Woman or Man choice you make when posting is stored with your story and shown publicly. Reports and messages sent through Leave a note are visible to the owner, not on the public wall.

Your browser stores a random ID for votes, My posts, and visitor counts, plus your display preferences. That ID is also stored on our server with activity such as your posts, votes, reports, and first and latest visits. We record page and story view counts. Clearing browser data resets My posts; it does not delete published stories.

How long we keep information

Published stories and their likes remain while the story is available. The random browser IDs needed for My posts and voting are kept with those records.

Separate visitor-statistics records are deleted after 90 days of inactivity. Notes and reports are deleted within 30 days after they are resolved.

Temporary spam-protection records expire automatically. Clearing your browser data does not delete information already stored by the website.

These periods apply to active website records. Stories hidden from the wall remain stored until permanently deleted. Technical service logs and backup copies may have separate retention periods.

Prefer not to be remembered on this device?

Use a private or incognito window and close all private windows when you finish. To remove an ID already saved in your regular browser, close Swipewreck tabs and clear cookies and site data for swipewreck.com in your browser settings—not just browsing history.

This resets My posts and saved preferences. A new ID is created on your next visit. It does not delete published stories, votes, or activity already stored on our server. Private browsing does not stop the site from recording activity during your visit.

Technical information

IP addresses are used temporarily to help prevent spam. Services that host the website and deliver its content may process technical connection information, such as your IP address and browser details.

Something needs removing?

Use a story’s red flag to report personal information or harmful content. For other privacy questions, use Leave a note. Please do not include personal or contact details.
